MEET THE LADS OF CRAIC AGUS CEOL
David Moore, vocals, guitar, bodhran, banjo. Dave is a life-long resident of Greenwich, NY. With all of his grandparents being Irish immigrants, he has a natural love of Irish culture and music. He also enjoys playing other musical styles, particularly folk, bluegrass, and Americana. When not playing with CAC, Dave does solo performances that incorporate these varied styles. He also makes occasional appearances with other local musicians and can sometimes be found in a bluegrass jam or open mic. Dave's musical influences include artists such as Tommy Makem, Liam Clancy, Maken & Spain Brothers, Danny Quinn, Great Big Sea, Gordon Lightfoot, Steve Earle and John Prine. Before joining CAC, Dave played clarinet and saxophone with a regional pops band for over 20 years.
George Burns, vocals, lead guitar, mandolin, penny whistle, bodhran, harmonica. With Irish ancestors and a Scottish last name that is doubly famous, George, from Delmar, NY, brings his instrumental versatility and rich vocals to the group. Whether its singing lead or harmony, beating out a rhythm on the bodhran, playing a haunting riff on the penny whistle, picking leads on mandolin or guitar, or telling a joke between songs, George is a presence that always commands the attention of the audience. George has been playing stringed instruments since a teenager and played with rock bands before joining Craic Agus Ceol.
Brad Peak, vocals, guitar. Brad was born in Catskill, but has lived most of his life in Colonie, NY. He started playing at an early age and has been involved in many facets of music, from choruses and bands to musicals. Brad is a fixture in the Capital District Music scene, and has been a member of a number of Celtic and Rock bands. Besides CAC, Brad currently plays with Missing Link and the Keeners, and is often found playing solo and as a guest with other musicians in the Capital District area. Brad is also a songwriter, and has written a number of original tunes.
